Red Horse Vineyard B & B is proud supporter of our military heroes with three generations of family being personally involved. Carl served with the 7th Army, 5th Division, 43rd Artillery Brigade during the Korean War. Phil has served our forces through AAFES since 1983. Lauren and Kathleen, two of Phil & Darlene’s three daughters, served in ROTC while in High School.
Red Horse Vineyard B&B is proud to offer Active Military & Veterans, Law Enforcement and Firefighters discounts 10% and those wounded in action an additional 10%. Our personal connection and service with military forces inspired our dedication to offer mobility feature rooms with barrier free showers and ample space for those needing assistance.
Our experience overseas with R&R and deployments enable us to create a personal retreat for you and your loved ones. Call today and let Darlene help you create a memorable rest and relaxation for you!
We honor per diem and moving allowances for rooms with the option to charge meals separately.
Phil began his AAFES career in 1983 at Ft. Sill, Lawton, Oklahoma. He takes great pride in serving the military and has sacrificed personal comforts to uphold and exemplify the AAFES motto – “We go where you go”. Phil has proudly served the military twice for Operation Enduring Freedom, once each in Operation Iraqi Freedom and in Bosnia. During this time, Phil gained a degree in Business Management and with it also brings 34 years of international management experience to Red Horse Vineyard B&B.
Darlene and their daughters were proud to assist Phil in serving as well. Moving across the world through PCS orders and experiencing the family separation of deployment allows Darlene to understand some of the unique needs of military families. It is through this unique bond Phil and Darlene hope to provide a wonderful, magical place for military families to escape, relax, rest, and build treasured memories together.

Albuquerque Sister Cities is a special program where the City of Albuquerque ‘twins’ with cities in other countries for mutual benefit and cultural exchange. Through this program, knowledge is shared, economies are strengthened, friendships are built and understanding is expanded.
Red Horse Vineyard B&B has been privileged to participate and host ASCI events over the past 4 decades. Delegates who became friends have danced while following Big Mike and his accordion, enjoyed Donna’s Famous Baked Beans and Carl’s superb BBQ skills, relaxed on the patio or lounged by the pool, while learning more about each other’s culture. A few SCI members have shared their personal moments by getting married in front of the fireplace or on the lawn. Red Horse Vineyard co-hosted with the City of Albuquerque for the Sister Cities International social picnic. This long standing relationship is clearly displayed throughout the B&B. Phil and Darlene have chosen to honor Carl and Donna’s dedication to Sister Cities by continuing as volunteers and host members. Special rates are offered for delegates and members of Sister Cities International. Please call Darlene for more information.
